“What would you call what you do? ‘I'm a concert/event promoter and producer...To me, the most satisfying thing and why I do it is that I like creating a place to bring communities together. I love when the space we create has this tangible energy and warmth you can feel in the air — when people have a chance to interact and meet new people. I don't love booking gigs when it's just another show where people see the band and then leave. I try to add more elements to make it feel more community-oriented.’”

“The [FEMINIST FLEA MARKET & CRAFT FAIR] has become a space not only for shopping, but for community and connection... Through this event, vendors have met, collaborated on projects together and have formed many meaningful personal bonds. Many vendors continue to come back for each market and have said that the market is not only the best in terms of how much they’re able to sell but in how nice and supportive everyone is who attends.”

- SOUTH PHILLY REVIEW

“…’Coming here is a really great way to get holiday gifts for people, especially since it’s not from a big corporation,’ Goldstein said. ‘It allows me to support local businesses and get good gifts for my friends that are unique.’”

- THE TEMPLE NEWS

“In October 2019 the flea market brought in almost 2,000 attendees. Philadelphians and tourists roamed Bok in South Philadelphia, and could purchase crafts, jewelry, art prints, culinary goods and more from vendors. Though the pandemic in March forced Aronow to cancel the fifth Feminist Flea Market, they’re moving forward with a virtual event…To get a better idea of the event and what it will entail Grid spoke with Aronow about Feminist Flea, its mission, and how COVID-19 has impacted its vendors.”
